Mission
We are a non-profit binational centre, officially recognized by the US Embassy in Bogota. Our basic purpose is to improve cultural understanding and authentic and peaceful relationships between the people of Colombia and the United States.
These goals are achieved by teaching English as a foreign language, offering cultural programs and displays, hosting events and meetings for various partners in the Barranquilla region, and by many other services, the centre offers to the community.

By the year 2020 Centro Colombo Americano will continue promoting culture, leadership and the learning of the English language, standing out for the quality of its service and the strengthening of the ties of brotherhood between Colombia and the United States of America.

Advanced English for Adults
Daily program of 360 hours from Mondays through Fridays designed for people over 15 years old who have taken and passed the 12 levels of the “Intermediate English Program for Adults” and wish to develop any of the four communicative skills.
Intermediate English for Adults
English program of 840 hours, gradual, sequential and integrated, which consists of 12 levels divided in modules A and B, and daily classes from MONDAYS through FRIDAYS, each module lasts 36 hours.
Intermediate English for Adolescents
Basic English on Saturdays For KidsThis is a Saturday program carried out in 340 hours designed for kids over 6 yearsThis is a Saturday program of 612 hours. Designed for children and adolescents under 15. It consists of 12 levels, 1-7 basic levels (Level CEFR A1/A2) and 8-12 intermediate levels (level CEFR B1/B2).
